Dyson Vacuum Will Not Charge

Are you in trouble with the vacuum cleaner again? Don’t worry, we are here to help you out with whatever is wrong with your cleaning machine. After all, if something falls out of that machine, you are in for a dusty day ahead. And the maintenance never comes the very next day. Laziness, however, does.

Coming to the main point of our conversation, is your dyson not charging? Sometimes they act up and we need to deal with the mess later. But the charging issue could be because of a few simple reasons. However simple they may be, you need to see if you can fix them or if there is a replacement with a high price tag written in your name.

Let us discuss a few reasons why it may not be charging.

Change The Socket

Did you try changing the socket? Half the times when we are trying to charge something, we end up leaving the plug half in the outlet. And 4 hours later, we are just seen regretting and staring at blank space. Let us avoid that, shall we? The first thing you should consider is whether or not your outlet is working. Try changing the outlet and see if there is a problem with your vacuum or with the outlet. We will not be moving towards solutions for outlets but you get the gist.

Change The Adapter

The second thing on our list is changing the charger. Most of the times when dyson owners come for a replacement, they don’t know the thing they need to replace is the charger, not the machine. And the money just goes down the drain. But you need to be smart. If you see the blue light shining normally, then that is just your queue to charge the vacuum cleaner. However, if it does not blink normally then bam, there is an issue with the charger.

Now, what does it mean by normal blinking of blue light? If the blue light flashes 5-10 times, then there is your answer to the not so normal blinking. You don’t have to count. You will notice the pattern if this is the case.

Other cases where parts of the vacuum cleaner might be damaged is when there is no light or presence of red, blue, or yellow light. You can get these parts online from any reliable website.

Change The Battery

Yes, to the obvious problem. This is the problem that we are quick to judge and even quicker to fix. But you need to see if your doubts match the problem in hand. A Dyson battery usually has a life of 3-4 years but it is rare for it to work that long.

Let us be honest, how many times have you experienced battery work for 4-5 years? Almost never. Anyway, the point is that you will need to replace the Dyson battery after every 2 years. Why do we keep changing the years, you ask? We are just advising you to maintain your vacuum cleaner properly. And that maintenance guru says to buy the replacement after 2 years. If the red light is blinking too fast, it may be an indication that you need to make a replacement.

Unclog The Attachment

This is not something you must have expected because what does this have to do with the charging, right? Weird things happen in this world and we abide by the weirdness dutifully. Let us consider it one of those weird things. And answering the question, yes it can be a problem when the attachment is clogged. The dyson vacuum will not charge if this is the case.

What you can do is clean the vacuum stick and unclog any obstacles from the stick. Voila, it will work again. The cleaning lessons will all come handy here. If only you could ask the vacuum cleaner to clean itself like it has been cleaning around the house. Ah, that would be an idea for the industry.

Conclusion

So, what do you think? Have you tried all these things and it still would not charge? Maybe that is the time you should bring the replacement for the Dyson vacuum, home.
